Low-Income Residential Programs

Do you qualify for low-income programs?

1. Calculate your annual gross income. This is all sources of income before taxes are taken out.

2. Find your household size in the left hand column. This is the number of people living in your home at least 6 months of the year, including yourself.

3. Follow this row over to the right. If your income is less that the amount shown in column A, you may be eligible for programs in list A below. If your income or your tenants income is less than the amount shown in column B, you may be eligible for programs in list B below.

  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) - Provides cash assistance to help pay heating bills for low-income individuals and families.
  • Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) - Provides cash assistance to households eligible for HEAP and who have an energy-related emergency, such as shut-off of gas and or electric, 72-hour notice of termination, or final termination notice.
